8th grade Science is learning to describe and demonstrate kinetic energy and potential energy by building paper roller coasters.
The students said the best part was being creative and making the loop. They learned how to make loops and curves to give the marble just the right amount of energy to finish the coaster.
The hardest part of building the roller coaster was giving the marble enough energy to get to the end of the coaster. They learned that the beginning height of the roller coaster was the most important part to give the marble just the right amount of energy.
