Students at Jackson are busy experiencing science.
6th grade is learning about thermal energy. Students spent a few days building a shelter to keep the warmth inside and the cold outside. They tested the shelter by seeing how well it could maintain the temperature of a small cup of Jello while it was outside for 20 minutes.
7th grade demonstrated their knowledge of elements and atoms by making atomic models and presentations of different elements. 7th grade also went to Chicago to visit the Museum of Science and Industry.
8th graders were jumping to learn how far they can jump on Earth, then took that knowledge to learn how far they would be able to jump on other planets.
