On Aug. 19, students and families arrived at schools across District 45 for the first day of the 2026-27 school year.
Teachers, staff and building leaders greeted students and families with warm smiles and encouraging words. Parents and guardians watched proudly as students reunited with friends, greeted their teachers and lined up, ready to discover their new classrooms.
To our students, families and staff, here’s to a new school year filled with learning, discovery and new possibilities. May it be a year of new friendships, shared joy and memories that will last long after the school year ends.
