D45 participates in Lilac Parade

On May 19, students from North Elementary, Jackson Middle School, and Jefferson Middle School marched in the Lilac Parade.

Jefferson and Jackson Middle School Band and Cheer Teams combined their talents. Wearing special Lilac Parade t-shirts, the student musicians represented their schools and District 45 so well!

The North School Drum Line, under the direction of Mr. Patrick Holmes, also participated. All students gathered at Glenbard East High School before stepping off for the event.

The Lilac Parade is an annual Lombard tradition since 1929 and marks the conclusion of the village’s annual Lilac Time festival.

Thank you to our Band Directors, Chris Wallbruch and Joe Koppel, and our Cheer Team Coaches, Estelle Tarrant, Everitt O’Neal, Sarah Giordano, and Shane Brown, as well as to Mr. Patrick Holmes and all our volunteer parents for their leadership and enthusiasm.

Outstanding job, Penguins, Jaguars and Wildcats!
